YOUTH & CHILDREN @ OAKLEIGH ANGLICAN CHURCH
Oakleigh Anglican Church has a strong commitment to providing a vibrant and relevant youth ministry program. It's hard enough being a teenager in today's world let alone being a Christian teen! We aim to provide a safe Christian environment where young people can explore their own faith and ask life's tough questions.
We run four separate youth based programs to help youth and children in their understanding of God and their relationship with Him and with their peers. These are 'Muckrakers', 'Godinators', 'C.R.A.N.K' and 'Chimps'.
MUCKRAKERS
Muckrakers runs on Friday nights and is for kids in year 5 to year 8 at school. This group is focused on community building with a small teaching component. Like the name Muckrakers seeks to expose the lies that are present within society and critique them with biblical ideas. This is a great group for kids who want to explore their faith or aren't sure if they even have a faith! Come play some games and eat some pizza with us and see where the night leads you.GODINATORS
CHRIST RISEN AND NOW KING
Christ Risen and Now King or CRANK caters for the older kids that are too old to attend Muckrakers. Year 9 to young adult is the normal age for a Crank group. The focus of the group is far more in depth teaching (1 Hour) with a meal and hang out time. CRANK runs every Sunday afternoon in the school term from 4.30pm – 7pm at Oakleigh Anglican Church.CHIMPS
Chimps is our Sunday school children's program which is part of the 10.30am service, while the sermon and prayers are held. This is vibrant group aims to engage children from 3 year olds to year 5 to understand Christ through engaging teaching and craft activities.
